Well, I did all the WiK stuff we have so far. Took me an evening. Meanwhile my Mesmer is still sitting idle after a few years. I've got a new Mesmer on my second account, and hope that by the time I get her out of pre, she'll be worthwhile.

I'm personally doubting we will need to do all this crap to launch the main quest, but we will see.

EDit: the peacekeeps also use a skill (with the Charm Animal icon) with no animals nearby, and is named "..." as well
It seems the farthest we can go (right now) is to the gate at Shaemore, the guards are hostile and we cannot enter, but there are enemies inside

Were you wearing a white mantle disguise?
On that note: If they make it so you need to buy these stupid fkn costumes to do all the quests I'm going to flip.

That leans slightly in the good direction but Anet's said things that weren't true in the past. I don't think they will, but track records mean something.

You won't be alone on that one, I'll be flipping off Anet if they tie the new content to those damn costumes...

Yes, but Regina's idea of new content probably includes the Obey/Dismantle facebook entries, Twitter and other such garbage... did she give a clear and concise "No new content will be dependent upon having the costumes"?

To sum it up :
Take Strike as One (take hero if u can't go R/A or A/R) and recall (on you). Cast a recall on pet at very beginning (at crevasse with no loose magic effect). Then keep using SaO on villager near barricade until pet warps to other side. Then just cancel recall. It can be used to get to the chamber where seer is also.
-Another way is to just bring full h/h party. Cast recall on any of them. Go near barricades. Keep flagging heroes/henchie repeatedly behind barricade (on north side, on various spots , just before tengu boss. You'll see commotion when they try to get past it. Eventually some of them will pass. When the hero with recall on him passes cancel recall. Then go up/left until names of other henchies are grayed out. Release flag and all of them will magically warp past barricades. Kill, explore, hf.
To access explorable LA area you need to :
-Have Prophecies and/or Eotn completed
-Watch all dialogs between Trackey and Gwen in Hall of Monuments
-Give items Trackey wants (he's outside eotn) and watch the dialog (after you've fed him) in Hom
-Watch 3 dialogs in Dakutu village (zone in and out nearest portal, tears of forgotten area, just make sure you watch all of the dialog)
-Watch Zinns Trial (outside Rata Sum)
-Watch the dialog in dakutu village (again) where Evenia and Livia discuss possible new allies
-Go outside of the eotn (ice cliff chasm) and watch dialog between Evenia and Vanguard
-Go back to dakutu where livia should show up with 2 asura and watch dialog
-Go to LA , speak to Lionguard at gate and he should let you in
Enjoy nice new LA view

The boss "..." has Elemental Attunement as the elite, didn't see much else apart from Searing Heat.
Word of caution on the SoO method - make sure the pet gets far enough away from the Villager or you can get stuck and have to start again.

So is this portion true?
Fast Casting decreases the activation time of your Spells and Signets. (No effect for non-Mesmer skills with an activation time less than 2 seconds.) In PvE, each rank of Fast Casting decreases the recharge time for your Mesmer Spells by 3%.
If so I feel a some build possibilities brewing

LOL Im in the keep right now, watching Langmar and Thackeray. They finished the dialogue with Selma and I guess they were supposed to leave, but my heroes and myself appear to be bodyblocking them. They are just walking 2 steps and forth in a neverending cycle...

I finally went to the "new" version of divinity coast...eww I was expecting something more. Only 3 groups of mantles, and also low level. It's nice to see they got new names and styles (but no new drops for the moment, from what I've read and experienced - got a scroll from ... boss and random crap from teh others), but I hope it's only a step and not the definitive ending.
Also, the "castle" gives not much for cartography, I was at almost 99,9 before and diddn't reach it, so it's like 0,000something.

This is like sneaking into an amusement park while they're still pouring the foundations for the roller coaster and complaining that you were expecting more than a ticket booth. Since most of Divinity Coast is currently supposed to be blocked off, it is quite possible that the full setup for the area isn't completed yet. Even the boss has not yet been named, so how do you know there won't be any more than what you've seen? How can you be sure that there won't be many foes that you didn't see because they will be dynamically generated in waves? How do you know there aren't Mursaat essences hiding inside the low levels?

That's why I said "I hope it's only a step". I'm only comped to what I had read from others, I figured there were a lot of enemies. Not complaining anyway, just a statement.

Correct, there are also mantle enemies on the bridge to Shaemore, as well as mantle inside shaemore (and possibly beyond)
I would prefer they remade Riverside Province instead of Divinity Coast though

I wouldn't rule this out. The real fighting hasn't even begun yet, much less reached the stage where the Mantle have been pushed back to a final defense in their ultimate stronghold. I would not be surprised if this happens late in the war and we get a Riverside explorable. But, for now, we will probably have enough to do fighting around LA, fighting on the Watchtower and Divinity coasts, and fending off assaults on ToA and perhaps other locations.
